PPA Third Foundation Day Program

PPA Third Foundation Day Program was held in Cidade the Goa, as a part of AWPP 2013. The program was marked by an enlightening lecture delivered by Dr. V K Saraswat, DAE Homi Bhabha Chair Professor, Department of Atomic Energy, former Scientific Advisor to the Defence Minister and former Secretary, Department of Defence R&D, Government of India. Dr. Saraswat talked about developments in the area of Polymers and Advanced Composites for high end applications in Defence and Aerospace. He also emphasised that there should be focus on development of skilled manpower and creation of extensive infrastructure and industrial base to cater and sustain the market demand with quality products. According to him the development of materials, manpower and infrastructure requires ingenuity and sincere efforts of Academia, Industries, R&D Organisations and Government to synergise the efforts for a single common cause, which will lead to prosperity and a peaceful world.
